Great Plains wrap up first semester games.

Division 1 has been a carousel.  Bethel beat Lindenwood; Mizzou beat Bethel, Mizzou lost to Lindenwood, UMSL lost to Mizzou, UMSL beat MSU, and MSU beat Bethel.  Who can beat who is anyone’s guess in this division?  Second semester should be a great ride for all the Great Plains teams.  We wish Lindenwood good luck as they head west to California before the Thanksgiving break.

Division 2 has Kansas State sitting on top of the division with newcomer Maryville University on their heels.  Illinois State and Central Missouri are hovering around .500.

First year team SIU-E and Mo S & T are finding their way and we expect a good second half of the season out of both squads.

Division 3 has Lindenwood Black on top but have more games played than the other teams.  Lindenwood Gold plays a difficult Division 1 schedule and has only lost one game thus far.  Despite a small team roster Bethel has proven a tough opponent.  Mizzou however is looking to improve upon a .500 start with a stronger second half.  Rounding out the division is Illinois State who we think is still hungover from a Chicago Cubs World Series Championship.

Moving to the JUCO division, St. Charles has earned five wins three coming against their rival St. Louis Community College.  After a three year hiatus St. Louis CC won the preseason tournament, but find themselves adjusting to the Great Plains competition in regular season play.  We’re glad to see the program back and seeing what they can do after the New Year.
